Included in each of the chakra chapters of the book is a creative visualisation which pertains to the functions and attributes of the particular chakra. The purpose of creative visualisation is to bypass the conscious mind and allow access to the rich inner world of the subconscious mind, which is a limitless source of creativity encompassing dreams, imagination, visions, intuition, fantasy and inspiration. Creative visualisation does this by first inducing an altered state of awareness through relaxation, which puts the listener into a receptive state. The subconscious creative mind is then stimulated through participation in a story, in much the same way that children engage in stories being read to them, allowing the listener access to their own treasure-trove of creativity.
